Phish, Udder Ball, NYE '97 - Ryan Lesser

$800.00

Original, offset lithograph by artist Ryan Lesser. This poster is from Phish’s 1997 New Year’s Eve show at Madison Square Garden, described as the “Udder Ball” due to the odd art projected on a fabric dome covering the fable venue’s Jumbotron, including eggs, olive loaf, and yes, udders. At the stroke of midnight, giant balloons cascaded from the ball to the ecstatic audience below, a moment memorialized in the Todd Phillips directed documentary, Bittersweet Motel. Stored flat since it was purchased new from Dry Goods, this poster is in As-New condition, and has been in the possession of only one smoke-free owner.

  • “Four-color Process Poster”

  • Featured in Art of Modern Rock: The Poster Explosion (AoMR 354.5)

  • Paper measures approx. 20” x 27”

  • Hand signed, and numbered 900/1000 above embossment of the Phish logo
